Lorelai and Luke WILL get back together. It is unknown when. Also if there is a season 8, it is unsure if they will even be together because Scott is being difficult about signing on for another year.
Lauren Graham "Producer" -"Graham made no secret of her desire to see her Gilmore role expand. 'I would like to be a producer on the show, but that's not anything [Warner Bros.] is gonna let me do,' she said at the time. 'I think, at this point, any request [might lead to a] 'Well, if you want something then we want an eighth season' kind of thing."

During a studio tour someone found this information. "Rory receives a call from the New York times about a job.... Gigi's crap was still in the living room.... everybody wanted another season except Alexis who still wasn't sure, but without her there probably won't be one." - "flat screen was mounted between the fireplace and the stairs" - "it didn't really look like she was moving stuff" - "remembering chin chin" sign outside the CS -
"Jackson did not have his vasectomy in season five. He did not go through with it and failed to tell Sookie." -
